Nikki Van Cleave begins her second season as an assistant coach for the Otterbein volleyball program in 2020-21, helping guide the setters.
Van Cleave holds previous experience as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at The Ohio State University, where the Buckeyes advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 twice during her stretch. She helped guide four All-Big Ten players, three All-Americans an was an AVCA “30 Under 30” award recipient in 2017.
Van Cleave also served as assistant coach at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, helping the program to a Horizon League regular-season title, tournament title and NCAA appearance during the 2-13 season.
A former Division I student-athlete herself, Van Cleave was a 2x All-Big East setter at Marquette University and garnered All-American honors in 2010. She then competed overseas in Germany for one year following graduation.
