Basford, a sophomore outfielder from Massillon, Ohio (Jackson H.S.), turned in a record-setting week as the softball team clinched its first Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament berth since 2006. Basford hit 6 for 8 and stole three bases in a doubleheader with Capital to end the week, helping her set Otterbein single-season records for most hits (65) and stolen bases (31). In addition, she tied the school's career record for most triples (14).
