D'Errico, a freshman from Medina, turned in a nice showing during her first-ever collegiate meet by winning the pole vault at the Purple and White Invitational Saturday afternoon, hosted by Capital University.

D'Errico won the event with a height of 10-11 1/2, good enough to rank as the fifth-best vault in program history.

The women's track and field team will not be back in action until January 11 when they again travel across town for another meet at Capital.
