Gardner, a freshman from Baltimore (Liberty Union), turned in a great performance in his first Ohio Athletic Conference meet over the weekend by finishing seventh out of 143 runners.

He covered the 8K distance in a time of 26:00.5, earning first team All-OAC honors and helping the Cardinals finish third as a team. It was the program's highest finish in over a decade.
