Speakman, a senior catcher from Westerville North, helped spearhead the softball team throughout the NCAA Regional over the weekend as the team made its first ever appearance in the event.

She hit 3 for 9 at the dish, launching a pair of solo home runs (first two of her career) and ultimately earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team. Her round-tripper against DePauw opened the scoring as the Cards later went on to win, 3-2.
