Carter, a freshman from Newark, delivered a combined 35 points and helped the men's basketball team earn its first win of the season with a 78-69 triumph over Heidelberg.

Carter began the week with 22 points at nationally-ranked Marietta, shooting 6 of 7 from three-point range and also grabbing five rebounds. He followed with 13 points and four assists in just 23 minutes against Heidelberg, shooting 4 of 9 from the field and making all four free-throws.
