Box Score

NEW CONCORD, OHIO - Otterbein women's soccer, ranked fourth nationally, routed Muskingum by a score of 6-0 Saturday afternoon in conference action.

The victory pushes the Cards to 14-0-1 on the season and a perfect 7-0 against league oppoenents, while the loss drops the Muskies to 2-15 on the season and 1-6 in OAC action.

The Otterbein attacked blitzed the Muskies immediately, as senior Lindsey Rudibaugh scored in the third minute of play off an assist from Hannah Fairbanks.

Senior Cristen Herold, the conference's assist leader, helped set up a pair of goals by finding Molly Kroger midway through the first half for a score, and then setting up Jessica Yaney for a goal off a corner kick just three minutes later.

Otterbein took a 3-0 lead into the half.

Rudibaugh scored in the opening minutes of the second half, roping a shot from 25 yards out and watching it deflect off the post and into the net.

Adrienne Novak scored ten minutes later to push the lead to 5-0, and junior Alyssa Hale scored her first career goal in the latter part of the second half to cap the scoring.

Tara Carter played the first 45 minutes in goal for Otterbein, while freshman keeper Laura Deal made her first career appearance by playing the second half. Neither was forced to make a save on the day.

The Cards return home to host Wilmington on Tuesday at 4 p.m., and, with a victory, have an opportunity to clinch the outright OAC regular season title for a third-straight year.
