#4 Cardinals Win 3-0 at Mount Union

ALLIANCE, OHIO - Fourth-ranked Otterbein completed an undefeated regular season Saturday afternoon, winning 3-0 at Mount Union to move to 16-0-1 on the season.

The Cards, who are thre first team in program history to finish a regular season unbeaten, will be the top seed in the upcoming Ohio Athletic Conference tournament and will host a semi-final match Wednesday afternoon at Clements Field.

Senior Tara Smith scored the lone goal in the first half, taking a corner kick from Cristen Herold and heading it home to put Otterbein ahead 1-0.

Just after halftime, senior defender Jenny Knox converted a goal off a pass from Herold to push the margin to 2-0. The helper was Herold's 11th of the season, setting the Otterbein single-season and career record. She is also the OAC leader in the category this fall.

Sophomore Molly Kroger pushed her season goal total to six by scoring unnassisted later in the half. She now stands second on the team in scoring with 16 points.

Otterbein, which held a commanding 29-2 shot advantage, tallied its 15th shutout of the season and sits atop the country in the category.

Senior keeper Tara Carter was forced to make just one save, while Aubree Liebermann came up with 11 stops in net for Mount.
