Box Score

WESTERVILLE, OHIO - Otterbein (2-10, 1-2 OAC) got two goals off the head of sophomore Tyler Daniels and went on to defeat visiting Baldwin-Wallace (8-4-2, 1-2 OAC) Saturday for its first conference victory of the season.

Junior J.P. Lococo and the Cardinal offense turned on the pressure from the start, working in the offensive third for the majority of the opening ten minutes.

Lococo saw a shot saved by the B-W keeper, and a few corner kicks would be the only other opportunities, however, as the game remained scoreless.

Daniels notched his first goal in the 43rd minute off a free kick from 45 yards away by Kurt Gallant, putting the team ahead 1-0.

Otterbein's Zach Moskites sent a cross from the right sideline towards the top of the box in the 61st minute, and Daniels extended the Cardinal margin to 2-0 by racing in to beat a Yellow Jacket defender and heading the ball into the right side of the net.

Cardinal goalkeeper Alex Kamphaus and the Otterbein defense were able to stand tough the remainder of the way en route to the shutout and victory.

B-W held a 15-10 shot advantage as well as a 4-3 edge on corners.

Ryan Hulings made six saves for Baldwin-Wallace while Kamphaus came up with five for Otterbein.

The team returns to action Wednesday, Oct. 13, traveling to take on Ohio Northern in Ada. First-kick is scheduled for 4 p.m.
