WESTERVILLE, OHIO—Defensive back Dominic Jones, a junior from Columbus (Brookhaven High School), was selected Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) defensive player of the week, the OAC released Monday.
Jones returned an interception 91 yards for a touchdown in Otterbein’s 37-14 win at Wilmington last Saturday. The rover back also made one solo tackle, forced one fumble, and recovered one fumble in the win.
Jones, who also returns punts and kickoffs for Otterbein, continues to lead NCAA Division III in kickoff returns with his average of 31.1 yards a return.
The Cardinals finished the 2010 season with a 6-4 record, and in a three-way tie for fourth place in the OAC with a 5-4 conference mark.
