OAC Names Korpieski Player of the Week

WESTERVILLE, OHIO—Cornerback Anthony Korpieski, a senior from Westerville (Olentangy High School), was selected Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) special teams player of the week, the OAC released Monday.

Korpieski blocked two Marietta field-goal attempts, including one in the closing seconds to set up Otterbein’s three-play, 45-yard, game-winning drive in a 21-14 victory last Saturday in Marietta. The defensive back blocked another field-goal attempt at the end of the first half as time had expired.

Defensively against the Pioneers, Korpieski made four solo tackles and picked up his sixth interception of the season. He leads the OAC in picks.

Otterbein finishes the 2010 season at Wilmington this Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
