Men's Basketball Defeats Wilmington

WESTERVILLE, OHIO – The Otterbein University men’s basketball team concluded its regular season with a 76-72 victory at Wilmington College Saturday afternoon.

The win puts Otterbein at 13-12 on the season, 9-9 in Ohio Athletic Conference play, while the loss drops the Quakers to 10-15 overall and 6-12 against league foes.

Otterbein took a 37-26 lead into halftime, and remained ahead at 63-52 with five minutes to play in the contest.

The Cardinals would hold off a late Quaker rally to preserve the 76-72 victory.

Junior Brice Rausch led Otterbein with 21 points while junior Chris Davis tallied 20 points and ten rebounds. He finishes the season as the conference leader in both scoring and rebounding.

Tyler White led Wilmington with a game-high 23 points on 10-of-18 shooting.

Otterbein will be the #6 seed in the upcoming OAC tournament, and will travel to take on third-seeded Capital University Tuesday evening.

The teams split during the regular season, each winning on their home court.
