CLEVELAND, OHIO – The Otterbein University women’s soccer team dropped a 2-0 contest at Case Western Reserve University Saturday afternoon, falling to 2-4 on the season.
Both teams battled throughout the first half and the game would head to halftime scoreless with Case holding an 8-1 shot advantage.
The Spartans got on the board in the 64th minute when Devyn Lee received a pass in the box and finished for the 1-0 lead.
Case would later add an insurance goal in the 87th minute en route to the 2-0 victory.
The Spartans held a 16-7 shot advantage and attempted six corners compared to Otterbein’s four.
Otterbein keeper Sarah Uhlenbrock had four saves between the posts while Case goalkeeper Anna Kennedy tallied six of her own.
The team returns home to host Ohio Wesleyan University Wednesday at Clements Field. Match time is set for 5 p.m.
