WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Cardinal volleyball team turned back Denison University in straight-sets Monday evening, winning 25-17, 25-20, 25-20 to improve to 21-7 this season.

Otterbein University resumes conference action Tuesday evening, traveling to play Marietta College at 7 p.m.

The match was the last home regular season contest for Otterbein seniors Kristen Bennett and Michelle Gernert, who will ultimately end their careers with the two-highest winning percentages in program history.

The senior duo combined for 17 kills to lead the charge offensively, followed by seven kills from junior Liz Palmer.

Sophomore setter Tabatha Piper tied for a match-high 26 assists in addition to six kills on 10 attempts, while Annie Juenger and libero Emily Caldwell teamed together defensively for 26 digs.

Denison was led by Elena Lein’s 11 kills, with setter Jessica Borsani tying Piper with 26 helpers.
