GAMBIER, OHIO – Kenyon College proved to be too strong for Otterbein women’s lacrosse Monday afternoon, turning back the Cardinals by a score of 19-5 at Mavec Field.

Otterbein, now 1-5 overall, trailed just 6-2 15 minutes in but saw the Lords post nine consecutive goals en route to a 15-2 halftime lead.

Kenyon scored the first two goals of the second half before back-to-back scores from Alyssa Johnson, the second coming with 12:59 remaining, broke the Kenyon scoring run.

The Lords scored twice more before Otterbein’s Chelsea McKeehan converted a free-position shot at the 5:18 mark to cap the scoring for the afternoon.
