The Cardinals, now with a 71-8-4 record in conference play over the last nine seasons, got started early with a goal from senior Molly Kroger in the 10th minute off a pass from classmate Jessica Yaney.

BW helped Otterbein push its lead to 2-0 shortly after, registering an own goal off a Cardinal free kick at the 15:19 mark.
Otterbein would take the 2-0 lead into intermission despite Baldwin-Wallace holding a 7-3 shot advantage over the opening 45 minutes.

The Cardinals remained steady during second-half action as Alex Ancona, Amanda Case, Jill Knox, and the rest of the Cardinal defense wouldn’t budge en route to securing the shutout.

BW held a 10-8 shot advantage for the match, taking five corners compared to Otterbein’s four.

Freshman Dana Strimbu totaled three saves over her 90 minutes in goal for the Cards, while Emily Tallmadge had four of her own.

The Cardinals return to action Wednesday afternoon, traveling to John Carroll University for a 4 p.m. match.
