BEREA, Ohio – Otterbein University women’s lacrosse hopped back into the win column Friday evening, picking up an 11-6 road win at Baldwin Wallace University.

The Cardinals, now an even 6-6 on the season, return home to host the University of Mount Union Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m.

Otterbein led 5-4 with under 30 minutes to play in the second half, but widened the gap with four goals in the next 13 minutes to seize a 9-4 lead.

The Yellow Jackets scored at the 3:46 mark, but goals from Alyssa Johnson and Morgan Hunsaker down the stretch helped the Cards glide to victory.

Freshman Annie Kelly tallied a game-high five points, two goals and three assists, in her first game back from injury. The California native was playing her first contest since March 27 against Kenyon.

Sophomore Victoria Blatt finished with a game-best four goals in the win while Johnson netted two.

The Cardinals held a 22-11 shot advantage over the 60 minutes and won 13 of the game’s 19 draw controls, with Blatt winning three and junior Kayle Quinter winning four.
