Box Score
MARIETTA, Ohio – Marietta College used a late first-half run to balloon its lead and never looked back in taking down Otterbein University, 104-68, during an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) matchup Wednesday evening inside the Ban Johnson Arena.

The Cardinals drop to 4-14 overall and 3-8 within the OAC as a result of the loss, watching the Pioneers improve themselves to 14-4 this season and 9-2 against the league.

A three-pointer from Matt Rhodes kept the Cardinals within a possession seven minutes into the contest, but the host Pioneers bumped their margin to double digits by the midway point after a triple from Brennan McKean.

The Cards answered two possessions later with a Jon Juergens layup before Marietta ultimately compiled another run and extend its lead to 20 by halftime.

Otterbein continued to battle in the second half, but Marietta managed to maintain the comfortable advantage throughout en route to the win.

Rhodes finished with a team-high 14 points offensively to lead the Cardinals, who will return home and host Baldwin Wallace University Saturday evening to finish out the week. Game time is slated for 7:30 p.m.

McKean dropped a game-high 19 points for Marietta, which made 26 of 30 free throws and 12 of 28 from long distance.

Otterbein went 43.6 percent from the floor but committed 25 turnovers on the night.
