Box Score

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Otterbein University men's soccer team added another Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) victory Saturday evening, scoring the final two goals for a 2-1 win over visiting Muskingum University.

The Cardinals, now 9-6 overall and 2-3 within the league, will be back in action Wednesday evening with a 7 p.m. matchup at Wilmington College.

Muskingum (4-11, 0-5 OAC) got on the scoreboard first after a slight Otterbein miscue in the 20th minute, taking an early lead when Antonio Meehan sent in a bending cross that was mishandled by Cardinal goalkeeper Mack Stamper.

Otterbein got itself back to even almost immediately, scoring less than three minutes later when Costa Poulias beat a defender down near the end-line and sent a quick pass into the box, which was headed in by Luis Rivas. It was his seventh goal of the season.

Otterbein defender Jonathan Boardman tallied the game-winner during the 68th minute when teammate Jared Pulliam found him open in the middle of the box.

The Cardinals finished with a sizeable 24-10 shot advantage, taking eight corner kicks compared to just two for the visitors.

Stamper had two saves while Muskingum goalkeeper Eric Riley was forced to make nine on his end.
