AUSTINTOWN, Ohio—Inside linebacker Austin Jones was named the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) defensive player of the week, the OAC released Monday.

Jones, a sophomore from Dresden (Tri-Valley High School), turned in a solid stat line in Otterbein University's 32-20 win at Muskingum University last Saturday in New Concord. He made 10 tackles, including two tackles for loss, one a sack; and recovered a fumble. Jones also had a pick-six called back because of a penalty at the start of the fourth quarter.

Otterbein, 4-2 overall and 4-1 in the OAC, is scheduled to travel to Baldwin Wallace University Saturday for a 1:30 p.m. kickoff.
