Box Score WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Otterbein University opened its Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) schedule on a winning note Saturday evening, turning back visiting Heidelberg University, 4-0, in women's soccer action at Memorial Stadium.
The Cardinals, moving to 5-2-3 overall after a fourth-straight win, will look to make it five in a row when they travel to John Carroll University this coming Tuesday for another evening matchup.

Alex AnconaOtterbein took control in the first half with a pair of goals from leading-scorer Jillian Strimbu, first in the 14th minute when she headed in a corner kick from teammate Alvi Shivley. Strimbu followed with her sixth goal of the season at the 27:18 mark, ripping a free kick from 20 yards out that deflected off a defender and into the left-side of the net.
The Cardinals added their third goal midway through the second half, watching senior defender Alex Ancona step in front of an attempted clear by Heidelberg and deflect the ball into the back of the net. It was the first goal of her career.
Otterbein later capped the scoring in the final minute when sophomore Madison Burchfield, playing just her second game this season after fighting back from a preseason injury, scored with 17 seconds remaining off an assist from Erica Meier.
Otterbein finished with a dominant 28-3 shot advantage, controlling most of the possession throughout the 90 minutes of action.
Starting goalkeeper Dana Strimbu and replacement Andrea Pohlman combined for the shutout on the Otterbein side while Kenzie Lundqvist had nine saves for the Student Princes.
