Box Score
WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Otterbein University continued its hot streak Monday afternoon with a non-conference victory, running away with an 18-2 win over Defiance College at Clements Field.

The Cardinals, now winners in 10 of their last 11 outings, improve themselves to 11-3 on the season and will return to action Wednesday at Wilmington College, 7:30 p.m.

Otterbein took control from the get-go, scoring five-straight times before the Yellow Jackets eventually got on the board midway through the first half. The Cards carried an 11-2 lead into halftime before scoring seven unanswered goals in the second half for the lopsided win.

Junior Courtney Hilfinger matched a career-high with five goals for Otterbein, which also received four goals from both Shannon Back and Maddy Blackburn.

Annie Kelly, the reigning OAC Offensive Player of the Week, posted two goals and three assists while Meg Burless accumulated four points herself. Kelly and Kayle Quinter, the league's Defensive Player of the Week, both corralled eight ground balls while Quinter won a game-high seven draw controls.

Otterbein finished with a 30-7 shot advantage and won all but four of the game's 22 draw controls. The Cards were a perfect 9 for 9 on clear attempts while Defiance was just 9 for 22.
