Box Score EARLHAM, Ind. – Otterbein University men's soccer continued its winning ways Saturday afternoon, coming up with a 3-1 road victory in non-conference action at Earlham College.
The Cardinals, getting a pair of goals from leading-scorer Jared Pulliam, improve themselves to 6-3 on the season with their fifth-straight victory.
Earlham tallied the first punch early on in the match, getting a goal from Salavadore Rivas less than two minutes in for an initial advantage.
Otterbein eventually countered, watching freshman Jaden Lunger go up and head in a corner kick from senior Conor Holland at the 18:02 mark to tie the contest back up. The Cardinals continued to control most of the possession, taking a 2-1 lead into halftime after Pulliam flicked in a free kick from Holland in the 35th minute.
Both sides battled throughout the second half, with Pulliam ultimately adding an insurance goal down the stretch to make sure the Cardinals would prevail. Holland assisted on the goal yet again, marking his second three-assist game this season. He also handed out three helpers in last week's triumph at Oberlin.
Otterbein will return to action Wednesday afternoon, traveling to Circleville for a 4 p.m. start time with Ohio Christian University. The Cardinals most recently played OCU early in the 2012 season, posting a 2-0 home win.
More details and full box score will be posted as soon as they become available.
