Box Score ADA, Ohio - The Otterbein men's soccer team was shutout 2-0 at Ohio Northern on Wednesday night in an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) battle at Kerscher Stadium.
The Cardinals, who move to 6-5-2 overall and 1-2-1 in conference play, have allowed nine goals to their opposition since nothcing a win in their first OAC matchup of the regular season against Heidelberg on Oct. 3.Â
Neither team registered a goal in the opening half of play, despite Ohio Northern controlling the shot margin at 11-5 throughout the entire first period. Otterbein unloaded a pair of shots on goal in the first five minutes of action, as

Mack Stamper also had his work cutout for him through the first 20 minutes, saving five shots on a sizable amount of Polar Bear strikes. Juarez-Manning and fellow midfielder
Reid Wolfe each totaled a pair of shots in the first half. ONU also earned a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks heading into halftime.
Ohio Northern's Matt Kinkpof opened the second half with his 11th goal of the season on a pass into the box by J.J. Fortner, putting the Polar Bears up 1-0 in the 51st minute. 28 minutes passed before Fortner flipped the script for his fourth goal of the year on an Austin Horton through ball into the Cards' box.Â
The Cardinals took one shot over the final 11:03 remaining in the contest, posting just their second losing decision in the last nine games. ONU finished the contest with a 24-11 shot advantage, while Otterbein managed to tally seven shots on goal. Both goalkeepers stopped seven shots apiece on the night.
Otterbein continues its two-game roadtrip this coming Saturday afternoon as the Cards travel to Muskingum for an OAC jaunt in New Concord, Ohio. First kick is set for 4 p.m.
