Box Score WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Otterbein women's soccer team benefited from a goal in each half to blank Wilmington, 2-0, in an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) road test on Wednesday night. The Cardinals pick up their fourth win in six tries in OAC play, improving to 8-6 overall. Otterbein's shutout victory propels the team into sole possession of third place in the conference standings, marking the fourth time this season that the group has held its opposition scoreless in an OAC contest.

Jillian Strimbu, who played the ball past the Quaker goal line for her fourth goal of the season.
The Quakers held a narrow 6-5 lead in shots the first half, but failed to score thanks to the Cardinal defense blocking three shots and goalkeeper

Megan McCabe boosted Otterbein's lead to 2-0 less than four minutes into the second period, scoring her seventh goal of the year on a ball that was nicely played by
Polly Sellers near the Quaker end line. McCabe now leads the Cards with 19 points and sits tied with
Madison Burchfield for the team-lead in goals.
Otterbein's defense managed to draw multiple fouls on Wilmington over the remaing 40 minutes of play, inducing one yellow card on the Quakers and limiting them to just three shots. The Cardinals made the most of their shot attempts throughout the contest, logging four-of-eight on goal while also holding a 4-3 advantage in corner kicks.
Strimbu finished the game in goal with four saves in 90 minutes of work, earning her sixth shutout of the season. Quaker goalkeeper Brittany Ross saved a pair of shots on the other end of the field.
Senior Night will take place for the Cardinals prior to Saturday night's OAC battle with Baldwin Wallace at Memorial Stadium. First kick is set for 7 p.m.
