Box Score WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Otterbein University women's lacrosse team fell victim to undefeated Mount Union Saturday afternoon at Memorial Stadium, finishing on the low end of a 17-5 decision in Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) action.
The Cardinals, now 6-5 on the season and 1-2 within the OAC, will remain at home to begin next week and host cross-town Capital University Wednesday at 7 p.m. The Purple Raiders, ranked No. 20 nationally, improve themselves to 12-0 overall and 3-0 against the league.
Mount took control from the get-go, scoring 39 seconds into the game and quickly building a 6-0 advantage by the 12:13 mark of the first. Otterbein eventually got on the scoreboard, getting a free-position goal from senior Tory Blatt with 6:07 to play before halftime.
