WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Otterbein women's soccer team notched its third-straight win with a 2-0 defeat of Wilmington on Wednesday night at Williams Stadium.
Otterbein (8-3-1 overall) improved to 3-1 in Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) play with five regular-season matches remaining on the schedule. The Cardinals will conclude their road trip on Saturday with a 1 p.m. kickoff at Heidelberg.

Alvi Shivley posted yet another solid outing as the Cards' leader in points, goals and assists, tallying her fifth goal of the year after bending in a corner kick in the 25th minute to help jumpstart the offense.

Madison Burchfield's fourth score of the season three minutes later, sending a free kick from over 20 yards out in the path of Burchfield who headed the ball into the back of the net.
Both teams were square at six shots apiece in the opening frame, with Otterbein earning eight corner kicks while preventing Wilmington from taking any.
The Cards controlled the tempo in the second half as well and held on to its two-goal lead for its fourth-straight win over the Quakers, also proving victorious in seven of its last eight meetings.

Andrea Pohlman recorded her third-consecutive shutout and seventh of the year, stopping a pair of shots by the Quakers before going the distance in goal.
The Cards finished the game with a 14-9 advantage in shots, tallying four shots on goal while holding the Quakers to two. Otterbein also dominated in the corner-kick margin, 9-1.
