WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Cardinal volleyball team suffered a 3-1 loss to Baldwin Wallace on Saturday afternoon in an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) tilt inside the Rike Center.
Otterbein (15-11 overall) moves to 3-4 in league play after falling to BW by set scores of 26-24, 22-25, 20-25, 21-25. The match also was the final home regular-season contest for seniors

Lauren Blumberg, as the two were recognized pregame.
The Cardinals began the match with fast-paced victory in set one, clawing back from an early 4-0 deficit to tie the game at four apiece. Both teams went back and forth through the middle points of the set, before Otterbein again tied the score at 21 all and rattled off three-straight points for a 24-21 lead.
BW then tied the set at 24 beforea BW service error and a kill by junior
Morgan Lowenkamp gave the Cards a 1-0 lead in the match. The Cards had 16 kills in set one and hit .205.
The Yellow Jackets captured the next three sets, with the Cards coming no closer than its deficit in set three. Otterbein did battle its opponent throughout each of the remaining sets, but trailed by two to three points throughout before a strong showing by BW's middle hitters swung the match in its favor.
Lowenkamp led the Cards with 18 kills to go along with a pair of block assists and two digs. Fellow junior
Marie Thornton followed with 16 kills and three block assists, while also pulling in one dig.

Brett Bey and sophomore
Olivia Harris combined for 15 kills and a trio of block assists, with Harris committing no errors and notching nine digs. Junior
Andrea Miller dished out a team-best 48 assists, while freshman Ashley Leon led the team with 20 digs.
BW had three players post 12 or more kills in the match, including Alicia Lortcher's team-high of 18. The Yellow Jackets held a slight edge over the Cards with a 59-57 margin in kills, along with a 6-5 mark in service aces.
The Cardinals have three matches remaining on their regular-season schedule, including a pair of OAC matches on the road beginning next Tuesday at Marietta. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
