WESTERVILLE, Ohio - The Otterbein University women's lacrosse team suffered a 12-10 loss to John Carroll on Saturday afternoon in an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) matchup at Memorial Stadium.
Otterbein (5-8 overall) played its final home regular-season game of the 2016 campaign, marking the same in the careers of seniors
Jami Aufderbeck,
Annie Kelly, and
Karen Brady.
The Cardinals wrap up the regular season with a two-game roadtrip, starting Wednesday at cross-town rival Capital before taking on Mount Union next Saturday. First draw at Capital is set for 1 p.m.

Katy Williams was a force offensively for the Cards, posting three first-half goals en route to a game-high five scores on the afternoon. Otterbein got down 1-0 early to JCU before Williams tied the game at one goal apiece at the 26-minute mark and then scored the first of two-straight goals to give the Cards a 3-2 lead. Ali Kula tallied the other Cardinal score.
JCU responded with two-consecutive goals of its own to regain the lead at 4-3. Kelly then tied the game at four all with her 21st goal of the year, tossing in a shot following a fluent assist by
Alanna Schultz.
The Cards allowed two more goals to the Blue Streaks over the final 10:42 of the first half, while Williams netted her third goal of the game with 13 seconds remaining to narrow the JCU lead to 6-5 at the break.
Williams opened the second half with a goal that tied the game at 6-6, before the Cards surrendered three-straight scores to JCU over a span of less than two minutes. Otterbein battled back, responding with a trio of its own goals, knotting the score at nine with over 20 minutes remaining.
JCU tacked on a pair of quick scores following Williams' 39th goal of the year, while the Cards were only able to score once more over the final 16 minutes of action.
Williams took a game-high nine shots in her scoring effort, while Schultz and Kula each recorded two goals. Kelly scooped a game-best 11 ground balls and caused five turnovers, while Aufderbeck grabbed one ground ball and caused three turnovers. Brady stopped six shots in goal in her final home regular-season contest.Â
