LaGrange, Ga. – The Otterbein women's lacrosse team split a pair of games to finish off its spring-break trip throughout the state of Georgia, bouncing back from a loss at Berry College to post a decisive 13-2 win at LaGrange College Wednesday evening.

Tuesday at Berry (15-8 Loss)
The Cardinals held an early lead at Berry following goals from a trio of freshmen in
Ema Pusecker,
Izzy Naumovski and
Jamie Kuder. The host Vikings settled in from that point, scoring six-straight times and ultimately entering intermission with a 7-4 advantage.
Otterbein did its best to catch up in the second half, but would trade goals and face an 11-7 deficit with 12:54 remaining in the contest. Berry finished the game strong, rattling off four-more goals en route to a 15-8 victory.
Senior
Katy Williams netted another four-goal performance to lead the Cardinals, who received two goals from Pusecker and an all-around effort of five groundballs, two caused turnovers and two draw controls from
Ali Kula.
Otterbein won 13 of the 25 draw controls in the game and saw goalie
Tasha Williams make five saves. Berry held a marginal 24-18 shot margin and from five goals courtesy of Keiley Ayers.

Wednesday at LaGrange (Win 13-2)
Otterbein regrouped on the short turnaround and heading to LaGrange, jumping ahead of the Panthers early and often to build an 8-0 halftime cushion. Junior
Veronica Wagner, who switched from defense in the offseason, tallied all four of her goals in the opening 30 minutes as the Cardinals assumed an 18-3 edge in shots.
Otterbein kept LaGrange at bay as the second half progressed, quickly bumping the lead to 11-0 before the hosts got on the scoreboard with 15:20 to play in regulation. The Cards moved on from there, adding scores from
Selena LaBair and
Abby Smoot down the stretch and securing their first won of the young season.
The Tan and Cardinal finished with a 29-6 shot margin, receiving multi-goal performances from four-different players and a five-point game from Pusecker (3G, 2A). Kuder led all players with five groundballs while defender
Megan Kanya had three caused turnovers and three ground-ball pickups.
Otterbein won 11 of the 15 draw controls and forced the Panthers into committing 18 turnovers. Full box score from LaGrange will be posted as soon as it becomes available.
