OBERLIN, Ohio – The Cardinal women's lacrosse team dropped a non-conference road game Thursday evening, falling by a count of 19-4 at host and undefeated Oberlin College.
Otterbein, now 1-3 on the young season, will have the weekend off after a cancelation with Olivet College and will instead return to action next Wednesday, hosting Kenyon College in the home opener at 5 p.m.
The Yeowomen (3-0) jumped on top of the Cardinals early and often, netting their first goal just 55 seconds into the contest and eventually opening a 9-0 lead by the midway point of the first half. Otterbein's
Veronica Wagner got the team on the scoreboard at the 14:18 mark with her fifth goal of the spring.
Freshman Izzy Naumosvki found the back of the net down the stretch of the opening half before Oberlin ultimately carried a 15-2 lead into intermission.

Katy Williams accounted for a man-down goal early in the second half and then freshman
Ema Pusecker closed the night's scoring with 7:23 remaining, shooting in her seventh goal this year.
Oberlin finished with a 32-4 shot advantage and captured 19 of the 24 draw controls. Junior
Ali Kula made her mark on the field for the defense with game-highs of four groundballs and four caused turnovers.
