ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Otterbein women's lacrosse team was dealt a road loss within Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) play Saturday night, falling by a score of 19-2 at three-time defending champion University of Mount Union.
The Cardinals, now standing 5-6 on the year and 2-2 against the league, will be back in action this coming Wednesday with a home matchup against Wilmington College.
Mount Union (7-3, 3-1 OAC) scored early and often to pull away, building a 14-0 lead by halftime and never looking back. Ashley Bernardi scored five times to lead the Purple Raiders while Katie Elder roped in four.

Katy Williams, who recently surpassed 100-career goals and currently leads the OAC with 40 so far this spring.
Veronica Wagner and Jame Kuder combined to win seven draw controls while freshman

Mount Union finished holding a 28-13 shot advantage while both sides traded draw controls, with the Raiders snagging 12 and Otterbein corralling nine of them. Both teams picked up 12 ground balls.
