WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Cardinal men's basketball team dropped a road game Wednesday night at Wilmington, finishing on the low end of a 101-59 Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) matchup.
Otterbein, now 1-21 overall and 1-14 against the league, will return home and host Muskingum come Saturday at 2 p.m. Seniors

Wilmington, completing the season sweep in the series, improves to 10-11 on the year as a whole and 6-9 within the OAC schedule. The Quakers have now won five of their last seven outings.
The Cardinals trailed just 10-9 after a few minutes, but Wilmington delivered a quick 15-4 run to open a double-digit lead and never look back. The Quakers went into halftime holding a comfortable 55-28 cushion and added to that lead throughout the second frame.
Wilmington shot a blistering 59 percent from the field, connecting on 12 of 24 from long range and 13 of 16 at the charity stripe. They held a 19-4 edge in fast-break points and committed half as many turnovers.
Will Patrick scored a game-high 20 points for the home team, which also received 17 from Andrew Russell along with placing three others in double figures.
Otterbein went 37 percent across the floor, hitting just 4 of 19 from three-point range but making 9 of 10 free throws. Freshman
Justin Carter led the way with 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting while Hughes scored 10.
