WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Otterbein women's lacrosse team evened its record once again Wednesday night on the road, taking control from the get-go and playing to a lopsided 22-2 victory against host Wilmington College in an Ohio Athletic Conference affair.
The Cardinals, 7-7 overall and 3-2 against the league, will now enjoy a 10-day break before playing their final three games of the regular season. Wilmington falls to 2-10 overall, 0-5 in OAC play with the defeat.
Otterbein built a 6-1 lead before the Quakers found the back of the net, and the Cardinals continued to score in building a 15-1 halftime advantage. It would be more of the same in the second period, with
Kiera Mulcahy and

Smoot matched her season/career-high with six goals and had seven total points, while freshman
Julia Karas roped in a season-best five scores herself. Mulcahy netted four and
Ema Pusecker (3G, 3A) delivered a six-point evening.
Otterbein finished with a commanding 40-4 shot advantage, going 12 of 20 on free-position attempts and snagging 24 of 26 draw controls.
