WESTERVILLE – Otterbein junior
Ava Robey was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week for the week of April 14-20.
The recognition comes after Robey posted an impressive showing in the Cardinals' 17-10 win over Muskingum on Saturday. She tallied 13 points on four goals and nine assists to go with three caused turnovers and three draw controls. The nine assists ties her own program single-game record from April 24, 2024, against Marietta, and the 13 points ranks second all-time at Otterbein for a single game.
Carli Rigel holds the program's single-game points record with 14 against Muskingum in 2024.
Named First Team All-OAC after leading the league in assists last year, Robey enters the week with 65 points on 29 goals and 36 assists on the season. She ranks fourth in the OAC in assists and is tied for seventh in points.
Robey has started 41 of her 42 career games at Otterbein, posting 185 points on 81 goals and 104 assists to go with 73 ground balls, 38 caused turnovers and 80 draw controls. She is the Otterbein women's lacrosse program's all-time leader in assists and ranks fourth all-time in points.
The Cardinals return to action on Wednesday to close out their regular-season schedule at OAC foe Marietta at 7 p.m. A win will clinch Otterbein a spot in the OAC Tournament, which begins on Saturday.
