Box Score WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Otterbein women's lacrosse team dropped a home game against cross-town Capital Saturday afternoon, falling by a score of 18-7 inside Memorial Stadium.
The Cardinals now sit 5-9 on the year and 2-3 against the Ohio Athletic Conference, while the Crusaders improve to 9-4 overall and remain perfect (6-0) within the league.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Capital dominated from the get-go, opening the game on an 11-0 run before Otterbein stopped the bleeding.

- Senior Abby Smoot scored twice in the final five minutes of the half, leaving the game 11-2 entering intermission.

- The Crusaders led 13-2 early in the second half, but Otterbein strung together a 4-0 run as Julia Karas and Cameron Finnegan both netted a pair.

- Capital had too much in the end, trading scores over the next handful of minutes to keep the margin at length.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Brooke Delara led Capital and all scorers in the game with a whopping seven goals, while running mate Kat Walton added four.

- Capital held a 41-17 edge in shots while Otterbein goalie Allison Rhoads made 12 stops in the cage.

- Both teams won 13 draw controls, with Karas collecting four herself on the Otterbein side. Capital earned nine free-position attempts compared to just one for the Cards.
