ADA, Ohio – The Otterbein women's basketball team collected its third straight victory Saturday night, 69-62, improving to 3-1 on the young season after completing the weekend sweep of Ohio Northern.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Otterbein carried the momentum of Friday nights 73-48 victory into game two, taking an early 22-12 lead after the first quarter.
- Junior point guard Jenna Hoschouer paced the Cardinal offense through the first half, scoring 10 points on 4-of-9 shooting, while backcourt running mate Angelia Jackson chipped in eight of her own.
- The Cards started the second half on a 6-0 run, as Abby Zerkle knocked down back-to-back triples to force ONU into a quick timeout just two minutes in.
- The Polar Bears were able to make things interesting down the stretch pulling within five, 62-57, at the 1:00 mark.
- Otterbein secured the victory in the end knocking down 7 of 8 free throws during crunch time.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- The Cardinal offense failed to score over 70 points for the first time all season.
- Both teams made their way to the free-throw line often, with ONU shooting 18 of 29 and Otterbein converting 21 of 25 for an 84-percent mark.
- Neither side was able to establish themselves from behind the three-point line, going a combined 8 of 45.
