LEXINGTON, Ky. – They just keep moving on.
The weekend brought a pair of matches at the Transylvania Invitational for Otterbein, and the Cardinals eased their way to another pair of sweeps Saturday afternoon down in The Bluegrass State.
Otterbein opened the day thwarting Rose-Hulman by scores of 25-17, 25-11, 25-19 behind 29 assists from
Carlie Craycraft and eight kills from both
Julia Vermilion and
Amber Greeley.

Bridget Oder had 16 digs on the defensive side as RHIT hit -.050 on the other side.
The first set was tied at 14-14 before a 7-0 run propelled Otterbein into an early lead. The Cards led throughout the entire second set, and then came from behind to close the third frame on a 10-2 run.
Otterbein then remained in gear by sweeping the host Pioneers on final line scores of 25-16, 25-18, 25-11.
Morgan Hartman had 10 kills while the Greeley/Vermilion combo had seven ropes each.
Oder and Vermilion combined for 29 digs while Craycraft handed out another 30 dimes. Transylvania barely finished in plus territory for the match, hitting .019 by the time it was said and done.
The Cardinals have now won 15 matches in a row, matching the 2011 group for the longest winning streak in program history. Otterbein's 2017 team won the first 13 to begin its decorated campaign.
Head Coach
Monica Wright also made her return after being forced to miss the past three matches during these times of pandemic protocols. She now stands with 299 career wins.
Otterbein resumes action next Wednesday, heading up north to face John Carroll on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
