Six Wrestlers Post 3-0 Days at Lycoming Invitational

FINAL RESULTS

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Opening week for the Otterbein wrestling team was capped off with another annual trip to the Lycoming Invitation on Sunday, as all Cardinals were afforded multiple matches in the round-robin style event.

Six different Cardinals had perfect 3-0 days. A quartet of sophomores in Logan Cormell, Andrew Sas, Caiden Hooks and Owen Crabtree all went three up, three down in their respective bouts. Freshman Trace Williams and senior Austin Amens also went a perfect 3-0.

Hooks spent the least amount of time on the mat with all three of his falls coming in the first period. Williams also pinned each of his opponents and now stands 4-0 on the young season.

Sas had a trio of bonus-point victories via one pin, tech fall and major decision. Cormell racked up two majors and a pin himself.

Many other Cardinals saw the mat and continued finding early-season form.

Otterbein will have a full week off before ultimately hosting Mount Union on November 14 in the Rike Center to launch conference action.
