UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio – It was a tough result on the road for the Otterbein men's lacrosse team Wednesday night, dropping a 22-3 contest with six-time defending OAC champion John Carroll inside Don Shula Stadium.
The Blue Streaks, winners of the last six postseason events, opened a 15-1 lead by halftime and ultimately improved to 8-2 on the year. Otterbein falls to 3-9, 2-3 against the rest of the OAC at the moment.
All three of Otterbein's goals (
Ty Forney,
Aidan Moore,
Max Graham) were assisted… with Moore tallying one of each on the night.
Cole Werbrich and
Alex Menendez also had a helper.
John Carroll won 23 of 29 faceoffs and used that possession gap to post a final shot advantage of 58-21.
Luke Farthing,
Ethan Foster and
Miles Wilke combined for 16 saves in the Otterbein cage.
The Cardinals will get back home and look to regroup Saturday afternoon against Heidelberg. Opening faceoff is slated for 1 p.m.
