ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - Sophomore Sarah Scarborough posted a sixth-place finish to lead the Otterbein women's cross country team to a top-20 showing at the Augustana (Ill.) Interregional Invitational on Saturday.

The Basics

• The Interregional Invitational consisted of a pair of 6K races held at Saukie Golf Course in Rock Island, Ill. There was a premier, Gold Division race and a Blue Division race. Otterbein competed in the Gold Division only.

Race Results

• The Cardinals scored 570 points and placed 20th of 35 teams.
• Overall, Colorado College was the top team finisher with 56 points followed by Washington (Mo.) in second with 106 points and Chicago (Ill.) in third with 138 points.
• The top three individual finishers were Colorado College's Isabel Olson in 21:07, Kalamazoo's Paige Anderson in 21:17 and Aurora's Deyanneira Colon Maldonado in 21:18.

• Scarborough led the way for the Cardinals, placing sixth in the 355-woman field in 21:27.
• Senior Alyssa Mattis finished 128th in 23:32. 
• Freshman Brenna Lay finished 147th in 23:46.
• Sophomore Kierstin Knell finished 166th in 23:57.
• Junior Lauren Gram finished 193rd in 24:19.
• Junior Josey Johnson finished 211th in 24:30.
• Sophomore Ava Stratmann finished 248th in 25:00.
