Box Score WESTERVILLE —The Otterbein women's soccer team fell 3-1 to Ohio Northern in Ohio Athletic Conference action on Wednesday night, with junior Rae Ehrbar scoring the Cardinals' only goal.

The Game

• The Polar Bears set the tone early on with Jill Roberts netting the opening goal from a free kick in the seventh minute of the game. 
• Ohio Northern struck again in the 14th minute following a deflected save, as the Polar Bears' Alyssa Beckett lofted a side kick to secure the team's second goal of the game.
• The Cardinals netted their lone goal late in the second half when junior Kylie Hast delivered a kick, and Ehrbar charged in head first to put Otterbein on the board, making the score 2-1 in the 65th minute.
• The Polar Bears added one more goal, courtesy of Roberts, with a wide-open pass, sealing the final score of the game.
• Junior Ella Schwertfager played all 90 minutes in goal for Otterbein and recorded three saves.
• ONU out-shot Otterbein 13-7, including 6-3 in shots on goal, while Otterbein finished with a 4-2 edge in corner kicks.

Notables

• Entering Wednesday, Ohio Northern was second in the OAC standings while Otterbein was in a three-way tie with Heidelberg and Capital for fourth place.
• Otterbein is now 12-11-5 against Ohio Northern since 2007.
• This marks Ehrbar's sixth career goal and her third of the season.
• Hast recorded her second career assist and her first of the season.
