DEARBORN, Mich. – A chunk of the Otterbein wrestling team venture dup north on Sunday for competition in the Whizzer Open at Henry Ford Community College, turning in nice results with a full six pack of Top-3 finishes.

Those Cardinals combined for a 20-4 record as a group, led by victories from Zach Orseno (133) and Michael Eckelberry (165) in their respective brackets. Both went a perfect 4-0.

A nice quartet of freshmen also represented nicely as Gabe Thacker (125), Trace Williams (141), Jason Patterson (3-1) and Josh Taylor (174) all finished 3-1 in their divisions.

Otterbein will have a pair of varsity duals on the docket over this next week-plus before turning full attention to NCAA Regionals. The Cards travel to Muskingum this Friday night for an OAC finale, and will then visit Thomas More on Valentine's Day.
