TIFFIN, Ohio – Another bounce-back victory got the Otterbein men's lacrosse team back to even on Saturday night at a rearranged site, as the Cardinals methodically worked past Heidelberg by a score of 14-2 at Columbian High School.
The Cards remained perfect in the series with Heidelberg and got back to 6-6 overall, 3-3 in Ohio Athletic Conference play with the double-digit result.
Otterbein used a consistent offensive effort with at least three goals in every frame, including five in the second quarter to open a nice 8-1 lead at the half.
A 55-18 shot advantage would eventually fall to the Cardinals, who saw eight different goal scorers and a seven-point night from Dom D ean. He roped in four goals while
Zach Mulligan,
Carson Rainone and
Nathan Lewis each had two scores.
Otterbein was 16 of 20 at the faceoff X and
Cayden Rohe scooped up six ground balls.
Ethan Dewes came up with three caused turnovers on the defensive side while goalies
Ethan Foster and
Zach Courie split halves in goal.
The Cardinals will be back in action Wednesday night with a mid-week trip to Wilmington, slated to begin at 7 p.m.
