WT&F: Cards Take Fifth at All-Ohio Behind Three Victories

FINAL RESULTS

DELAWARE, Ohio – The Otterbein women's track and field team enjoyed three winning performances and another podium effort to ultimately rest fifth of 12 teams at the Division III All-Ohio Championships across Friday/Saturday nearby at Selby Stadium, with Ohio Wesleyan serving as the annual host once again for outdoor.

The Cardinals finished in a three-way deadlock for fifth on the team board with Oberlin and Wooster. Ohio Northern outlasted the host Bishops atop the standings.

NOTABLE HIGHLIGHTS:
  • Otterbein posted 14 points in the high jump behind three scorers, sparked by All-Ohio champ Alexis Weber clearing 5-5.75 (1.67 meters) atop the list. Amanda Radke and Tashe Lee were also in the top eight.

  • Peyton Proffitt out-jumped league foe Emily Thompson from Marietta to win another All-Ohio crown in the pole vault, this time clearing 12-8 (3.86m) to secure a full 10 points. Thompson cleared 12-4.

  • Geneveive Legawiec joined those two standouts as an All-Ohio champ herself, winning the tough 400-meter hurdles in just over 1:05. She topped the field by more than a full second with the fourth-best time in program history.

  • Ravyn Goodson hit the podium with third place in the discus, tossing 38.21 meters (125-4) for a new personal best. The distance puts her ninth on the program's all-time list.

  • Josey Johnson took sixth in the steeplechase at 12:48, while Olivia Kahoun took sixth in the javelin toss. Both earned three points for the team total.

  • The 4x1 relay of Olivia Finke, Legawiec, Lee and Madison Gray teamed for sixth place in 52.30 seconds.

  • Radke landed seventh in the long jump at 15-4, equating to 4.67 meters and snagging a couple extra points, as did Charlie Dolliver (33-9) in the triple and Ragen Harting in the 5K toward the end of Saturday.

  • The 4x4 relay punctuated the meet in fifth place at 4:09 – with Finke, Lee, Legawiec and opener Rachel Bollo each churning out a lap.
UP NEXT:

The Cardinals will finally get to compete on campus with the annual (and long-awaited) Otterbein Twilight Meet next Friday evening, beginning in the mid-afternoon with field events and concluding under the lights!
