Smith claims OAC Field Athlete of the Week honor

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Sophomore Anastasia Smith has been named the OAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week, as announced on Monday afternoon. This comes off a stellar showing at the Wilf Schnier Alumni Classic on Friday.

Smith won the shot put with a throw marking 12.83 meters. That mark sets her sixth all-time in Otterbein indoor track and field history. Additionally, Smith went on to throw a 14.22 in the weight throw, which earned her sixth overall and the highest among Division III athletes. That throw of 14.22 meters ranks third all-time in program history.

Smith and the Otterbein indoor track and field teams will host the Otterbein Invitational this Saturday, with field events beginning at 10:30 a.m.
