Dolliver leaps to All-American honors in triple jump

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Charlie Dolliver is the newest All-American in Otterbein indoor track and field history. 

Competing in the triple jump Saturday at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships, Dolliver recorded a leap of 11.57 meters to place 11th. That 11th place finish earned the senior Second Team All-American honors at the Birmingham Crossplex.

Dolliver's final jump was the best of the day, consistently improving with each jump. After starting with a mark of 11.12 meters, the second jump came in at 11.43 meters.

This was Dolliver's first career appearance at Nationals after setting Otterbein's school record at last week's Polar Bear Qualifier. Two weeks prior, the senior won the event at the OAC Championships at Heidelberg. Dolliver will now prepare for the upcoming outdoor track and field season.
