Women's Cross Country places fourth at Wright State Mike Baumer Invitational

FAIRBORN – The Otterbein women's cross country team placed fourth of eight teams in the Wright State Mike Baumer Invitational on Friday evening.

The Basics 
  • The event was a 5K race held at Fairborn Community Park in Fairborn, Ohio.
  • The Invitational consisted of NCAA Division I, II, III and club teams competing.

  • The Cardinals scored 91 points and placed fourth of eight teams at the meet.
  • NCAA DI Northern Kentucky won the meet with 61 points, and NCAA Division II Malone placed second with 64 points.
Top Otterbein Performers Notables 
  • Mattis, Knell, Johnson, and Gram all posted personal-best times for a 5K race. 
  • Mattis' previous best time was 20:30, and Knell's previous best time was 21:37.
