WESTERVILLE — The Otterbein men's soccer team dropped a tight 2-1 game to Texas Lutheran on Sunday afternoon. Junior Kasdin Hale accounted for the Cardinals' lone goal of the game.

The Game

• Texas Lutheran opened the scoring with a goal in the 23rd minute and took that 1-0 edge into halftime. The Bulldogs closed the first half holding an 8-2 edge in shots.
• The Bulldogs extended their lead to 2-0 with a goal in the 73rd minute.
• Hale got the Cardinals on the board with a goal in the 84th minute on an assist from senior Nick Isaac.
• Otterbein got off four shot attempts over the final five minutes of play but was unable to even the score.
• Otterbein freshman goalkeeper Jason Villalobos played all 90 minutes and recorded two saves.
• The Bulldogs finished with a narrow 12-11 edge in shots, and each team had three corner kicks in the game.

• In his eighth season with the program, Otterbein head coach Jason Griffiths now holds an overall record of 84-34-12.
