Ratliff leads Otterbein to Men's Cross Country OAC Championship

Payne Ratliff was the champion with a race of 25:21.1, leading the Cardinals to its first team title since 2019.

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Led by Payne Ratliff winning the individual crown, the Otterbein University men's cross country team won the 2025 Ohio Athletic Conference Championship on its home course. Ratliff's time of 25:21.1 earned him the individual title, as he was one of five Cardinals to earn All-OAC honors.

Otterbein finished with a team score of 40 to win its first team championship since 2019. Ratliff also becomes the first individual champion for Otterbein since Chase Hampton achieved the feat in the 2019 season.

Ratliff was followed by a fourth place finish from junior Mitch Green, who ran a 25:35.0. Caleb Rafferty and Corey Rafferty also join Ratliff and Green on the First Team All-OAC squad, finishing ninth and tenth, respectively. Caleb ran a 25:50.6 and Corey finished with a PR time of 25:51.2. Junior Brady Pugh's time of 26:09.3 earned him Second Team All-OAC accolades, taking 16th overall.

David Hartman turned in a personal best time of 26:20.4, taking 21st. Fellow senior Drew Osler clocked a 26:51.7 to finish 35th as the final Cardinal to place inside the top 40.
